So I started a game in BGII, it's pretty sweet, but don't think it's one of the best games ever, it's pretty much D&D, but without the imagination or interaction. It'll be better on multi-player, but I still think an ordinary D&D would be more fun.

I still think you're right, but that's far from the point, D&D is clearly better, 'cause you can do it with friends. BGII is an excellent replacement if all your friends are busy, or you're Gamer and you have none, but D&D has the interaction factor, therefore 'tis superior.
