This time, Gandalf looks back to the original Nintendo Entertainment System, and looks around on how to get one.

All I have been doing lately is waiting for new games to come around. However, the problem with this is that no new games are coming out any time soon. So, in my spare time, I have been marveling over the quality piece of console which is the original Nintendo. Wow. What a console, perhaps the best ever made. Definitely much better than anything released today, and pretty much anything after itself like the Genesis or the Super Nintendo. You see, I used to play the Nintendo, but after a fateful afternoon, it stopped working after approximately 11 years of service. Ever since, I have been without one, and now I feel like I should go back to the time of Duck Hunt and Excitebike. This is mainly because of the hype generated by Trekie (arg), and thus, it is time that the internet is searched for this wonderful console.

I remember the days, back in 1995 & '96 when I was still playing games on that thing. Ninja Turtles, Mario Bros, etc. All of them were great, albeit simplistic. I have to admit that I was never any good at playing console games, but I was absolutely atrocious playing these games, seriously. One time when me and my relatives were playing Super Mario Bros. 3 I deliberately wasted all the rare suits in the 8th world, thus destroying a full day's work. What a jerk I was then. Luckily, something called SAVING PROGRESS came along and revolutionized the way we play games. With this terrific feature, people a plenty could finally take a break (like anyone would do that....right?) from their journey and go outside without having to worry that their console would blow up from overheating (of course the consoles never overheated like that). Anyways, games have evolved a plenty, but there are still many hours of fun to be had exploring the world (and beyond) of Startropics.

Unfortunately, I really can't think of anything else to say on this subject, so I am going to close this issue early. I promise a deluxe edition next time, when I might have a decent subject to talk about.
