Again please remember that I assume you have read all of the novels that lie previous to this one.
Soul of the Fire is another great acheivement by Terry Goodkind. My second faveourite in the series so far.
Soul of the Fire starts off with something I think we've all waited long enough to see: Richard and Kahlan's wedding.
Even on the first night after though, strange events begin to occur in the village if the mud people. The foreshadowing
at the end of Temple of the Winds now comes into play.
The same old great characters of course, who are joined by several new members. One of whom provides an excellent
look into the politics of the war, and another causes trouble with the Sword of Truth. They are as well develped as
usual for this series, sadly createing a few slow bits near the start, however once it gets going, the plot with them is just
as interesting as that with Richard and the others.
Speaking of plot, this book features a very interesting idea which also shows one of those 'little event, big effects'
things. It really illustrates how having a luxury can really make one dependent on it. In this case: Magic. Really makes
you think about electricity and what things that we really need. Beside being an excellent opportunity to wonder about that
subject, this brings a new chain of events into action which brings a new plot into the scope of the series.
