Nao Adventures

Here Bookworm compares the wheelings and dealings of NAO to Daes Dae'mar, the Great Game of the Houses, featured in Robert Jordan's series, the Wheel of Time.

Daes Dae'mar, the Houses of Cairhien gaining favor and support, placing their bids on powerful nobles. Notable players are- Thom Merrilin and Queen Morgase.

Nao, the members gainin favor and supporting council members. Notable players are- Bookworm and Trekie.

The members of Nao will henceforth be represented by the following:
Trekie: King Galad
Bookworm: Tom Merrilin
Gamer: Rand Al'Thor
DM: Lord Damodred
SWNerd: Tavern Wench
(The characters have no real representation of the personalities of these people, i.e. Rand is good.)

King Galad runs the show (supposedly). Thom could play the game in his sleep. Rand knows nothing of the game. Damodred is surprisingly good at slipping around on the board. The tavern wench is generally ignored and gains only small tips.

Currently King Galad commands the most power. Thom plays his cards correctly and puts the blame on Rand. Damodred, has an interesting ability to change sides while escaping notice, he apparently shoulders the blame on others. The tavern wench has no real plans or ambitions, and somehow gets people to promote him.

The Dealings of Nao, hereby called Daes Dae'Nao, are complex and intrigueing, and this is only an attempt to put the swirl of thoughts into words. However "the Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills."
