After Toy Story 1/2, Finding Nemo, and A Bug's Life, could Pixar ever stumble in it's future? Well, that future is here.
The Incredibles is not quite incredible, but it still manages to provide family fun!
The story starts off with Mr.
Incredible on a trip to his own wedding, but along the way, he enounters a cat in a tree, a run-away criminal, and Bomb-Voyage.
Mr. Incredible defeats the first two and fails to capture Bomb-Voyage thanks to his fanboy, Incrediboy. After having Incrediboy
arrested, Mr. Incredible goes at lightning speed to his wedding to Elastigirl. The public then sues Mr. Incredible and all
the superheroes due to the damages they've been causing, so they are all ordered to become regular citizens...
Fast
forward to modern day. Mr. Incredible has become an obese insurance broker and Elastigirl deals with motherhood as the two
have had 2 children (three children you bloated ape-SWNerd), Dash and Violet (and whassis face the stupid baby-SWNerd). Mr.
Incredible is summoned secretly to deal with an out-of-control robot programmed by an evil genius, and the story quickly elevates
to and exciting yet clicheed adventure involving all of the "Incredible" family.
Now, I thought very highly of Toy
Story and Finding Nemo, so my expectations were more than low for this movie. Unfortunately, the action filled flick I was
hoping for ended up only being the last half of the movie. That's right, the first half of the movie ends up being somewhat
boring as the Incredibles mostly deal with their daily lives and remember the golden days of being superheroes...
